Simulator plugins

Download v9 and replace your older files. Each package includes its installation instructions.

FlyWithLua plugin + local HTTPS bridge

The bridge handles HTTPS outside X-Plane, so networking cannot freeze the simulator. Python 3.8+ is required; no extra Python packages or LuaSec.

Installation

0 of 5 steps marked
  1. 1

    Install the prerequisites

Use X-Plane 11/12 with FlyWithLua NG and Python 3.8+ on the same computer.

  2. 2

    Download and extract

Download the v9 ZIP above. It contains the Lua plugin, local bridge, and complete instructions.

  3. 3

    Install the Lua script

Remove older HEMS scripts, then copy hems_command.lua to this folder:

    X-Plane/Resources/plugins/FlyWithLua/Scripts/
  4. 4

    Start the local bridge

Open a terminal in the extracted folder and run the command below. Use python3 instead of python on macOS/Linux. Keep the window open while flying.

    python hems_bridge.py
  5. 5

    Confirm actual telemetry

Start X-Plane or reload Lua scripts. CONNECTED appears only after the server confirms a save. Open Live Tracking here using the same pilot account.

The current telemetry endpoint accepts public submissions identified by pilot email; these are not authenticated pilot connections. Previously generated hems_ keys do not authenticate requests and are no longer used. Flight-feed reads still require sign-in.
